Creating Research-Based Web Sites with Netscape Composer

Module 3 - Building a Site with Netscape Composer

Web Skills Assignment

The assignment for this module is to use Netscape Composer to create the “structure” of your proposal web site.

You will need the Web Site Structure Map, Web Site File Structure list, and the Storyboards you created for the Module 2 assignment.  You can pick these up from Dr. McClurken on Monday, January 31.

The site structure web site should include:

  1. A Home Page
  2. The sub pages that you list on your Site Structure Map
  3. Navigation that enables the user to navigate to all the pages in the site
  4. A Text Heading on each page indicating which page it is
  5. Title information for each page
  6. Contact Information on each page

Please email the URL of your completed site to Dr. McClurken by 9:30 AM on Tuesday, February 8, 2005.

For this exercise, you do not need to include the content for each page - that will be part of your assignment for Module 4.

If you are having problems with this exercise, please contact Jerry Slezak or Dr. McClurken for assistance.  One word of warning:  like most web sites, it may be difficult to throw this together the night before it is due!

Good Luck!
